Why I Teach: Bob Benjamin
Return to story
Seems like something is always spinning, shooting or bouncing in Bob Benjamin's classes. The physics professor isn't afraid to use props to bring difficult concepts to life.
Sure you get to play with toys, but make no mistake, Benjamin's classes are tough. He's quick to point out that hard work can be the most meaningful work, and knowledge gained in physics will serve you for life.
In this story, see how his work in the classroom and in the lab are changing the way we see science.

Dr. Benjamin reminds me of a
Dr. Benjamin reminds me of a teacher I had in high school, Mr. Chamberlain. He warns you that the class is hard and that you will have to work for your grade. When you walk out of the class, no matter what the grade is, you will have learned so much. I personally enjoy these types of teachers.
